Specific Position Accountabilities:
• This position will be accountable for customers and prospects within the Shenandoah Valley/Charlottesville sales market area.
• Review and strategize existing accounts data to increase market share while maximizing margin opportunities.
• Execute marketing programs and consult customers on inventory management, maintaining displays and samples, educating customer’s salespeople, soliciting orders from the customers purchasing personnel and processing credits, presenting the bi-monthly flier, and closing on stock product promotions. This work may include travel time with office personnel, manufacturer’s representatives, and other field salespeople.
• Develop and manage all customer files and key contacts, data collection for marketing activities, data review for penetration opportunities, enhance sales and margin growth, maximize promotional events, customer follow-up agenda items and requests.
• Work with the Inside Sales Team Lead/CSR team member(s) to coordinate marketing efforts and set written and measurable goals for the assigned territory.
• Coordinate and participate with the customer on product training meetings and open houses. It would also include complaint resolution on defective products. The issuance of credits must meet company policies and assure that long-term partnerships are achieved with the customer.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Sales.
Qualifications and Requirements of Successful Candidate:
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college (preferred); degree in Sales & Marketing or Business Administration preferred
• At least three years of field sales experience (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
• Possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record per Company Vehicle Policy; the ability to travel away from home to visit customers and prospects within the Shenandoah Valley/Charlottesville sales territory

Physical Demands and Abilities
• The physical ability to visit retail dealers and construction sites which have limited access and require use of ladders and walk boards
• The physical ability to help drivers, fabricators, and warehouse personnel in the movement of products
• Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 80-100lbs
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures
• Constant standing, walking, bending, twisting throughout the work day
• Occasional sitting, climbing and balancing
• Respond to visual, verbal and audible sounds/commands
• Use hands to handle or feel objects, reach and grab with and hands and arms
